
Global Chairman of Ebiquity Alan Rutherford Joins NOIZ Team to Accelerate Media Transparency
Mr. Alan Rutherford is one of the leading media experts in the world, with over 30 years of experience in companies including Ogilvy Mather, Unilever, Digitas, Axis, Ebiquity, and now NOIZ. He is also the founder of Rutherford and Partners, a consultancy helping major multinationals manage their marketing services.
According to Rutherford, “There’s a global impetus by clients to achieve their desired levels of media transparency. New developments in the application of technology such as NOIZ , will serve to raise the transparency and accountability levels, and renew the trust and faith in media and media agencies”
As a Partner of Axis Business Consulting, the first company in Asia to provide investment strategies for international advertising networks, private equity funds and local independent agencies, Mr. Rutherford is making it his goal to develop the advertising industry in a way that brings about media transparency for clients.
Before joining Ebiquity, Mr. Alan Rutherford served as the Global Chief Executive Officer of Digitas. He led the division that strives to grow the agency’s business and provide services to clients worldwide. Mr. Rutherford simultaneously led expansion into major markets around the world and founded Digitas’ agencies and Prodigious Worldwide during his term there.
During his nine years at Unilever as Global Head of Media Services, their global strategic input of media and efficiency performance increased drastically. His personal profile was further enhanced in 2004, when he was nominated as one of the ten most influential people in media.
Prior to working at Unilever, Mr. Rutherford spent 14 years at Ogilvy and Mather Europe as the Director. He managed the accounts of many global businesses including IBM, Guinness, and Sony PlayStation. During his time there, he became one of the founders of ‘the Network’, Ogilvy’s media arm and a forerunner to WPP’s Mindshare.
Mr. Rutherford believes that media transparency concerns everyone and has a deep desire to tackle challenges within the digital advertising industry. With his mentorship, NOIZ will strive to create a better relationship between advertisers, publishers and consumers.
